- Information We Collect.
Within our catalog, ordering, search
engines, information request, and other user input forms, we may request your
name, address, phone number, and email address and other data pertinent
to the fulfillment of your request. If you are ordering products on our Secure Server, we require some of this information and request
additional information such as billing address, credit card number, type, card billing address, card code, and expiry.
- Our Use of This Information.
We use the personal identity information that we collect about you within the marketing and website
maintenance departments of our company to fill your requests for information and catalogs, to verify your charge and purchasing
information and authority, to fill your orders for products and receive payment for them according to your instructions, and to electronically
deliver information to you that you have requested (such as answers to questions).
We use your email address, your
mailing address, your fax number, or your phone number, to contact you regarding Carsonite Composites products on which you have
requested information, or regarding events such as trade shows which relate to your interest. Carsonite Composites'
authorized dealers and distributors may be provided this information as needed to follow up your requests. If you request information
about Carsonite products that are not directly related to this division, your information may be forwarded within our
family of companies via email, fax, or by paper reports.
- Our Storage of Information About You.
We store only the information we might reasonably need to follow up your orders and requests. After filling your
order, your information may be stored for a reasonable time in our corporate computer
systems. Our sales managers, webmaster, and dealers-distributors may maintain these data indefinitely
for future followup by phone, email, or fax, and for accumulation of website usage data. Credit card information is stored at our web
server in an encrypted and divided format, so that access to both the authorizing
email and to the web-based secure data is necessary to assemble a complete charge number and associated information.
- Who Has Access.
Carsonite Composites
customarily limits information access to the people who have direct need for the information, such as for sending out
catalogs or answering your questions about our products. In addition, the Shakespeare Composite Structures webmaster and website
maintenance staff have access to all such information.
- Our Disclosure of Your Information.
Carsonite Composites does not sell or rent any personally identifiable information about
you. We do not supply your information to any third parties, other than our dealers and distributors, for any reason except law
enforcement as noted below. We do not assemble mailing lists, email lists, fax lists, or other data for use by anyone outside
our corporate family. However, for some product lines, we may forward your information to our authorized
dealers and distributors for fulfillment and followup of your requests for catalogs, information, and sales contacts.
Carsonite Composites cooperates with all law enforcement inquires. We can disclose information
about you and your use of our websites to law enforcement or other bona fide government officials (such as Departments of Defense, Justice, Commerce, etc.) as
we, in our sole judgment, believe appropriate.
- Security
To safeguard your personal
information, we employ industry standard measures such as Secure Socket Layers and secure certified
servers whenever such information moves electronically into our systems. However, "perfect security" does not exist on the Internet.
Although we limit access to your information and store only the information we might reasonably need,
automated backup systems can cause further storage of the information, and we therefore cannot guarantee that all of your
personally identifiable information will never be disclosed in ways not described in this Privacy Policy. For example, we may be forced
to disclose information to government or third parties under certain circumstances, or third parties may unlawfully intercept web
transmissions without our knowledge or permission. Therefore, although we do our best to use industry standard practices to protect your privacy, and although
we limit the use we make of information you provide us, we do not promise and you should not expect that your information will forever remain private.
